On Monday October 17 at 2 pm, I’m giving a talk on singles at Loyola University in Chicago. It is open to the public. Here are the details.
TITLE:
The rise of singles in society: Challenging our understandings of ‘family’ and inspiring new pursuits of social justice
WHEN:
Monday October 17, 2011
2 p.m.
WHERE:
Regis Hall Multipurpose Room, LSC
Loyola University, Chicago
SPONSORED BY:
Department of Psychology, Committee on Diversity Affairs,
College of Arts and Science, Gannon Center for Women & Leadership, and
Women Studies & Gender Studies
If you think you may be able to attend, please say hi to me after the talk – I’d love to meet you (or see you again if we’ve already met). If you don’t mind, send me an email, BellaDepaulo [at] gmail.com, letting me know that you might attend so I will know to look for you.
For this trip, I’m getting in late evening the night before my talk and leaving early the next morning. In the future, once we have that new site up and running, I hope to be able to do some advance planning. The new site will have an option to sign up for news. I’d send an email to everyone signed up, telling them about my travel plans. Then, if anyone was interested in getting together, I’d see if I could arrange my schedule to accommodate that.
