Have you read my latest post over at Living Single about the article in the Chicago Tribune quoting all sorts of people who are not matrimaniacs?
I wanted to mention it at this blog, too. Too many reporters writing about married and single people do not seek out even a single perspective that is not from the Marriage Mafia. So I want to be sure that this journalist, Alexia Elejalde-Ruiz, who talked to a variety of non-matrimaniacs, gets noticed. It is so refreshing to read a thoughtful piece that is not just full of the same old singlism and myths.
I have been happily working on the chapter, “Single, no children: Who is your family?,” and am getting close to finishing. Then I will be more attentive to this blog and my emails. Thanks for your patience.
